I'm back...
OK, I sorted out what was going on w/ me, my groups, my person, and what felt like the phenomenon whose name cannot be spoken in this forum.
I believe it has to do with individuals being financially remunerated for appearing in professional groups they did not create, and, I guess we could call 'it' marketing a CULT.
I have done a bit of research...street level, and I now hold it as likely that members of this CULT are rewarded in some way, i.e. attended X group, and promoted "NVC", among other things on the menu.
I would assume that CoE folks do this as well.
It is extremely disconcerting, as in one moment the group is discussing talent management in Asia, and the next minute someone is having a breakdown if they cannot discuss NVC.
See what I mean?...
I am confident that other groups, organizations are being penetrated as well.
People, including myself, are either too nice, or unaware to say "get the F out of here." Damned if you do, damned if you don't do.
I have learned that THEY are both paying and receiving "kick-backs' for PR activities.
This sort of thing is NOT unusual in other sectors, but is more than unusual in mine.
