Re: Erhard, est/Landmark and Kurt Lewin

The fringe 'theory' I was describing is STANDARD to the field of Organisation Development. I simply chose to look at est/Landmark (an 'organization', last time I looked) through that lens. And, Lewin in his work in urban communities did postulate that groups were more 'glue'y' if they have a transcendental goal or purpose...UTOPIAN.

A commonly perceived 'enemy' is also useful to the creation of group solidarity. (Think U.K. football fans.)

With Landmark, as with Scientology, this enemy can be an individual who questions the tenets of the leader/group (a suppressive person), or an organization...say, an anti-cult group.

CEI and related AC organizations are subject to the same social logic described above. I guess that your response to my pointing this out, proves my point.
